2016 Australian Model Conference

The Australian Model Conference is run by the Aussie Elite Group and aims to promote accessibility, fair pay, safety, and grass-roots talent development of all model type’s, for both up-and-coming local and International models.
Borne out of a will to improve an unregulated and often dangerous industry for young girls in particular, the Australian Model Conference takes aim at the unscrupulous in an attempt to keep Australia competitive in the global scene of glamour and fashion.
This year we partnered with the finals event for Miss Earth Australia to create an incredible day and evening full of empowerment, fashion, photography and glamour, all in a beautiful Sydney heritage precinct – a former jail cell block in Darlinghurst.
The conference day included high-profile presenters like Top model – Annalise Braakensiek, and Andy Trieu an actor and host of SBS Pop Asia, live demonstrations, an open catwalk competition for models, talks on scams and safety by NSW Police, networking and job connections, and even a photography competition from the day. To top it off, we put on fashion runway shows with professional models to show how its done. This included shows by International brands such as Nicola Finetti, Budgy Smuggler swimwear, and Inoa Fashions.
The evening continued on with the after party, and the Miss Earth Australia finalists on the catwalk, before Lyndl Kean won the title to represent Australia.
We continue to run networking nights and development sessions throughout the year, while working alongside big brands to give aspiring models and the future industry, genuine opportunities for success.
The Aussie Elite Group is an industry hub and leadership body, made up of independent professionals empowering talent to live their dream.
