Spring Beauty Looks from the VMAs

By: Shannen Carnemolla

For most people MTV’s Video Music Awards are about the music. But if this year was anything to go by, the awards could quickly become a sneak-peek of new season beauty looks.
Judging from the red carpet arrivals, it seems that natural make-up and lightly tousled hair is going to be one of spring’s signature styles – so I’ve rounded up four of my favourite catwalk queens to give you some hair and face inspiration for the warmer months.

Emily Ratajkowski

The babe of Gone Girl makes office to party beauty look effortless, opting for subtle waves, a peach lip and slightly heavier eyes. Her tanned skin and relaxed tresses make her look like she just stepped off the plane from a tropical getaway. If I could look like that every day, I’d love myself sick.

Lily Aldridge

Lily’s natural look is perfected with barely-there make-up (except a few obvious coats of mascara) paired with a nude lip. Her bronzed cheeks and ombre layered hair have beach babe written all over them. I think it’s fair to say that ‘Frostbyte’ is definitely over – Lily is sizzling.

Arielle Vandenberg

This absolute stunner put my beauty feels in overdrive. I literally can’t fault it – volumous hair, glowing skin and light make-up makes her the poster girl for 2015 spring beauty. I hadn’t heard of her until this post, but if you’re someone who likes elegant but simple style, Arielle is definitely one to watch.
Stay tuned for more awards-inspired beauty this month as we’ll be bringing you the best of the best from the 67th Primetime Emmy’s later in September.
