• Does an actor’s absence during Ramadan affect their career, especially since some actors insist on being part of this season?
Many stars miss the Ramadan season but return with strong and significant projects. Their absence is often due to preparing for new works or carefully selecting roles that align with their vision. They prefer to take their time rather than rush into projects that may not suit them.
Undoubtedly, appearing in the Ramadan season is important. However, we live in an era dominated by social media and streaming platforms, where series aired outside Ramadan can achieve high viewership and hold the same significance as Ramadan productions. The only difference is that marketing for Ramadan series is more intense due to the high competition.
• Why are you absent from this year’s Ramadan season?
I am currently filming a joint Lebanese-Syrian series consisting of 45 episodes. We started shooting before the war, had to pause, and resumed after it ended. Since it’s a long production, I couldn’t commit to another project simultaneously due to scheduling conflicts.
• Which actresses from your generation stand out to you?
The two actresses who impress me the most from my generation are Joy Hallak and Marilyne Naaman. They excel in selecting their roles and projects, and they truly deserve the opportunities they receive.
• Do you think opportunities determine an actress’s success? Have you received the opportunities you dream of?
Absolutely! I’ve been given the opportunities I deserve, and in a short period, I have achieved success and participated in remarkable projects that I take great pride in. The audience now recognizes me and eagerly anticipates my new roles.
• Is acting a fair profession? What has it taken from you personally?
Acting is both fair and demanding. It consumes a lot of time and energy. While some actors get their breakthrough quickly, others may have to wait for years. In that sense, the industry can be unfair. However, those who remain dedicated, work hard, and continuously improve themselves will eventually reap the rewards of their efforts.
• What has acting given you?
It has given me everything I deserve.
• What do you expect from it in the future?
An actor’s greatest reward is the love of the audience. Through acting, I have gained invaluable experience, and I hope to achieve even more in the future.
• Which actors do you admire the most?
I admire many actors. In Lebanon, I deeply respect Bassem Moughnieh, Wissam Sabbagh, Badih Abou Chakra, Maguy Bou Ghosn, Jessy Abdo, Carole Abboud, Randa Kaady, and many others whom I have worked with. They pour their hearts into their performances, and their series are now reaching international platforms, being translated, or even adapted in other countries, which is a remarkable achievement.
• Is it true that you’ve decided to get married soon? Can marriage and acting coexist?
Of course! Marriage and acting can go hand in hand. Being in the entertainment industry doesn’t mean you can’t have a personal life. Many major stars have built families while continuing their acting careers. As for me, I am set to get married officially this year.
• Who is the lucky one? Is he from the entertainment industry?
I prefer not to reveal his name or share any details about my private life.
