Kuwaiti actress Ilham Al-Fadala expressed her immense joy at the news of her colleague, actress Shujoun Al-Hajri’s release. This comes just a few days after Shujoun’s arrest in connection with a case involving the seizure of narcotics. The case garnered significant public attention and sparked a wide wave of sympathy and solidarity with the actress.

Ilham Al-Fadala Shares Her Spontaneous Joy

Ilham Al-Fadala shared her feelings with her followers on her official Snapchat account through a spontaneous and moving video. In it, she spoke with profound sincerity and emotion. Ilham described her emotional state before Shujoun’s release, saying, “Shahab [her husband] tells me my face is rosy, I’m happy, I want to snap my fingers, I feel my soul has returned.. For two days, I was in a depression, I didn’t even feel like myself.”

These heartfelt words reflected the extent of the anxiety and tension Ilham, and perhaps many of Shujoun Al-Hajri’s fans, experienced during her detention. Her feelings of sadness transformed into elation upon hearing the news of Shujoun’s release.

Details of Shujoun Al-Hajri’s Case

The details of Shujoun Al-Hajri’s case date back to the Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior’s announcement on June 20th, via its official social media accounts, of “the arrest of a female citizen in possession of narcotic substances and psychotropic drugs with the intent of personal use.”

Although the Ministry did not explicitly mention the accused’s name, the photo accompanying the announcement appeared to be of Shujoun, which sparked widespread speculation and extensive coverage of the case. This official announcement was quickly followed by widespread reactions from her colleagues in the art community and the public, who launched solidarity campaigns with Al-Hajri, affirming their support for her during her ordeal.
