Top pieces for staying warm and looking chic this winter

Faux Fur
Faux Fur coats are the perfect way to wrap up warm this winter season.
Poppy Delevingne wears a sleek, navy faux fur coat with pink and red striped detail on the arms. The coat can be dressed down with a pair of jeans and ballet flats, or you can dress up the look by throwing a fur coat over a dress.
Sophia Richie provides a more youthful, bold take on the classic coat with the contrasting baby blue and navy stripes in a knee length size. The coat provides a warm and fun vibe on a drizzly grim day.
Knitted top
This trans-seasonal knit top is ideal for the Australian winter where the temperature can be unpredictable.
Margo Robbie, wears a grey knit turtle neck top under a khaki coloured jacket, black trousers and knee high boots.
Nicole Richie has reworked this look for the warmer weather by wearing a cropped rib knit, sleeveless jumper in white, paired with a classic pair of denim shorts and ankle boots. Make the look edgier with a chunky black belt with gold detail.
The knit top is a basic item to have in your wardrobe, and can be worn all year round.
These boots are made for walking
If you want to invest in one item this season, you can’t go past a nice pair of structured black ankle boots. Either with a chunky heel or a flat soul the ankle boot is very versatile with any outfit and keeps your feet warm in the colder weather.
Chiara Ferragni, a fashion blogger, pairs pointed ankle boots with a chic beige overcoat, ripped skinny jeans and hat creating the perfect combination of looking “pulled together” and sophisticated. The ripped jeans make the look perfect for day-time.
Miranda Kerr has also paired angle boots with a crisp coat, looking chic and fashion forward in her black and grey ensemble.
Leather Skirt
L eather is a must have fabric to incorporate into your wardrobe this winter. Kate Bosworth, wears a leather pencil skirt, ideal for work or formal functions.
Alternatively you can opt for a short mini leather skirt such as Rosie Huntington-Whitley’s in the black quilted leather, perfect for parties or dinner out with friends.
Both skirts work well with oversized jumpers, tucked in or over the top of the skirt or for a more formal setting a blouse will work well too.
