Sham Al-Dhahabi, the daughter of renowned Syrian singer Asala Nasri, shared a spontaneous and heartwarming moment with her followers. In a video posted on her Instagram account, Sham is seen attempting to sing under the guidance of her mother, who carefully corrects her mistakes and helps her improve her vocal performance.

A Special Bond Between Mother and Daughter

Sham chose to sing the classic song “Helwa Ya Baladi” by the late Dalida. Alongside the video, she expressed her deep emotions for both her mother and her homelands, writing: “Helwa Ya Baladi, Syria and Egypt.” The video beautifully captured the strong bond between Asala and her daughter, as Asala patiently offered artistic advice while Sham enjoyed the experience, despite repeatedly admitting that she does not possess her mother’s exceptional vocal talent.

Fans React to Sham’s Singing Attempt

The video quickly gained traction among Sham and Asala’s fans, drawing admiration for the warmth and closeness between the mother and daughter. Some praised Sham’s efforts despite her modest singing abilities, while others commented on the authenticity of their relationship. One follower wrote: “The spontaneity between you two is beautiful. Asala is a true master of singing, and Sham is an eager student.”

The clip resonated widely on social media, with many appreciating the candid and affectionate nature of the moment. Beyond a simple singing lesson, fans saw it as a touching display of family support and unity, especially given the challenges Asala has recently faced.

Asala’s Ongoing Dispute with Tarek Al-Aryan

Amid Asala’s ongoing dispute with her ex-husband, Tarek Al-Aryan—heightened by the removal of some of her songs from YouTube—Sham chose to express her support for her mother in an emotional way.

In a separate video, Sham shared a heartfelt singing tribute to Asala, accompanied by a loving message: “I am you, my love. I love you beyond words. Every moment of my life is for you, to bring you happiness and make you proud. You are my entire world!”

Humbly acknowledging her own vocal limitations, she added: “Of course, my voice isn’t great, but I tried my best—because I am you.” She concluded with an affectionate declaration: “You are my soul, my world, the purest and most precious person, my queen forever.”

This show of support from Sham comes in response to the controversy surrounding the removal of Asala’s songs from YouTube. Her brother, Anas Nasri, reassured fans that these legal challenges would not diminish Asala’s artistic legacy, affirming that her music remains deeply cherished despite its temporary absence from the platform.

Meanwhile, Tarek Al-Aryan released an official statement announcing that he had requested the removal of “60 Daqiqa Hayat” from YouTube, citing his legal ownership of the production, publishing, and distribution rights. YouTube honored his request after reviewing the necessary legal documents.

Al-Aryan further revealed that he had spent five years attempting to reach an amicable resolution with Asala regarding the rights to songs he produced, but to no avail. As a result, he resorted to legal measures. He also hinted that this was only the beginning, as he intended to pursue the removal of other songs, including “Khanat Al-Zekrayat,” “Al-Ward Al-Baladi,” and “Aisha Ala Eli Fat,” as well as the albums “Shakhsia Anida” and “Mohtama Bel Tafaseel.” However, Asala’s brother later confirmed that “60 Daqiqa Hayat” had been reinstated.
