A new conflict has emerged between Syrian artist Asala and her ex-husband, producer Tarek El Eryan, concerning the ownership rights of her songs.

In a surprising turn of events, Asala’s popular song “60 Daqiqa Hayah” (60 Minutes of Life) disappeared from the YouTube platform, despite having garnered over 200 million listens. As of now, Asala has not issued any official statement or explanation regarding this removal. Many fans are speculating that Tarek El Eryan, as the producer of the song, may be behind the move.

In an official statement, Tarek El Eryan broke his silence and revealed that he had attempted to resolve the artistic disputes with his ex-wife amicably for five years, but his efforts had failed. He mentioned that he was forced to resort to legal actions in order to protect his rights, asserting that he would not relinquish his claims despite the massive backlash from Asala’s fans. He also revealed that he had submitted all the legal documents to YouTube’s management, which led to the song’s removal.

El Eryan further disclosed that “60 Daqiqa Hayah” would not be the only song to be taken down, stating that he plans to remove other tracks as well, including “Khanat Al-Zikrayat,” “Al-Ward Al-Baladi,” and “Aisha Ala Elli Fat,” in addition to albums produced by his previous company, “Star Gate,” such as “Muhtama Bial-Tafasil” and “Shakhsiat Anid.”

It’s worth mentioning that the album “60 Daqiqa Hayah” was released in 2015 and included 10 successful songs, such as “Al-Mulhimah Al-Wahida,” “Al-Ward Al-Baladi,” “Su’al Baseet,” “Aisha Ala Elli Fat,” and “Mawaqef Mu’limah.”
