Egyptian actor Amr Waked posted several tweets expressing his celebration of the ceasefire agreement. He wrote, “Allahu Akbar over the oppressors’ malice, congratulations to the steadfast people of Gaza, the resilience of mountains.” In another tweet, he said, “The Zionists, along with most Western powers and a group of traitors ruling us, have not achieved a single real goal in Gaza, except for their assault on humanity.” He also wrote, “We will never forget that during the height of the genocide, anyone raising the Palestinian flag at any gathering was arrested by Sisi.”
Syrian singer Assala Nasri shared her happiness, saying, “Indescribable joy for this decision that will stop the bleeding of pain and bring a moment of rest for our people and loved ones in Gaza. May God have mercy on our martyrs, protect our people, and make the coming days full of goodness and prosperity.”
Palestinian singer Saint Levant posted on his Instagram stories, “Rest in peace to every soul lost because of this evil system. We will never forget you. Ceasefire today, and now liberation.”

Irish actor Liam Cunningham posted a video from Al Arabiya television featuring children from northern Gaza, sharing their hopes for a simple, peaceful life away from the destruction and fear they have endured.
