A number of celebrities have launched donation campaigns to support the Lebanese people affected by the ongoing Israeli aggression on various regions of Lebanon for the past two weeks. Many of them have called on their followers via their social media platforms to contribute humanitarian aid to those in need.

Among these celebrities is British-Lebanese artist Mika, who initiated a donation campaign for the children of Lebanon in collaboration with UNICEF. Mika shared a video on his official Instagram account urging his followers to donate, pointing out that over 1.3 million children in Lebanon are at risk due to the escalating conflict, and that approximately 300,000 children have already been displaced. He said, “UNICEF is providing vital humanitarian assistance such as food, medicine, and clean drinking water,” and encouraged donations by stating, “Even a small contribution can make a big difference.”

UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, “Theo James,” also joined the call for support for Lebanon by sharing a video on X, urging his followers to contribute to relief efforts through the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). In the video, James said: “Although we feel helpless, there are ways to help, and I have seen firsthand the work that UNHCR is doing on the ground.”

In Lebanon, Miss Lebanon 2022, Yasmine Zaytoun, launched an initiative titled “Let’s Open Our Homes” to provide safe housing for the displaced. Zaytoun called on her followers through Instagram videos to donate and help provide shelter for those who have left their homes due to the aggression.

Meanwhile, Lebanese actress Maguy Bou Ghosn expressed her support for humanitarian initiatives by joining efforts with the “Protection” association, which works to assist children and families in need. Bou Ghosn urged her followers on Instagram to contribute both materially and morally, saying, “Our people need us, and today I am with the Protection association to offer help on the ground.”

In this way, many Arab artists have demonstrated solidarity with the Lebanese people, emphasizing the importance of acting swiftly to provide humanitarian aid during these difficult times.
