Lebanese singer Jad Shwery has released a new song titled “Ardi” (My Land) in collaboration with Palestinian artist Ismail Al-Nimr. The song quickly gained traction, surpassing half a million views on its first day and trending in Jordan and Lebanon. Written and composed by Shwery, with musical arrangement by Mohamed Hosni, “Ardi” delivers a powerful message of resilience and hope.
Expressing his joy over the song’s success, Shwery stated that its release came at the perfect time. He described it as an upbeat track with deeply meaningful lyrics, which resonated strongly with listeners. The song received widespread acclaim on social media, with many praising its poetic lyrics and captivating melodies.
“Ardi carries multiple messages, including love for one’s homeland, the need to defend it, and the resilience of its people,” Shwery explained. He added that the song also sheds light on the hardships endured by both Palestinians and Lebanese, while offering a sense of hope to those returning to their war-torn homes.
Regarding his future projects, Shwery revealed that his upcoming album “Balbala”—featuring tracks like “El Seet,” “Ardi,” and “El Nass Ghaddara”—is set to be released during Eid al-Fitr. He mentioned that the album had been delayed due to the ongoing crises in Lebanon and Palestine.
