With only a few weeks left before the Ramadan 2025 drama season, Lebanese artists are racing against time to complete the filming of their projects in preparation for the upcoming Ramadan marathon. The season promises intense competition, with creators and stars aiming to offer captivating works that blend romance, thrill, suspense, comedy, and social themes. In this context, “24” highlights some of the most anticipated Lebanese dramas set to air during Ramadan 2025.

Blood

“Blood” is a Lebanese series starring Maguy Bou Ghosn, who plays the role of a character named “Ghalia.” The series also features a strong cast, including Bassam Maghnieh, Nawal Kamel, Badi’ Abou Chakra, Jessie Abdo, Samer Faris, Carole Abboud, Julia Kassar, Gabriel Yamin, Said Sarhan, Marilyn Naaman, Rola Bacsamti, Cynthia Karam, Janaakh Fakhouri, Samara Nahra, Elsy Frenini, and Rafiq Ali Ahmad. The series, directed by Philippe Asmar and written by Nadine Jaber, takes place over 45 episodes. It follows a dramatic social storyline that incorporates a “Pan-Arab” formula, with actors from both Syria and Lebanon. The plot is inspired by real events and explores the hidden dynamics of family relationships, addressing complex questions about love, sectarianism, and inheritance within Arab families.

Nafs (Breath)

“Nafs” brings together Syrian actor Abed Fahd and Lebanese actress Daniella Rahme for the first time, alongside Syrian actor Moatasem Al-Nahar. The series will air over 30 episodes, written by Iman Al-Saeed, directed by Eli Samhan, and produced by “Sabah Brothers” company. This social romantic drama delves into the theme of love and the sacrifices some may make to confront envy and hatred.

The Drunk Love

The series “The Drunk Love” presents a new on-screen pairing for Ramadan 2025 between actors Mohamed Al-Ahmad and Heya Mershly. Filming took place between Lebanon and Syria. Directed by Marwan Barakat and written by Bathina Awad, the story mixes mystery, suspense, and romance. The plot is full of surprises, which led the creators to change the title to “The Drunk Love” to better fit the storyline.

Underground

“Underground” is another Lebanese-Syrian joint production being filmed for Ramadan 2025. Starring Maxim Khalil and Rozina Ladhqani in their first on-screen pairing, alongside Samer Al-Masri, the series is set in Damascus in 1900. It explores social issues such as crime and the struggles between traders during that period. The show consists of 30 episodes and is written by Shadi Dweir and Sultan Al-Awda, with direction by Mudar Ibrahim, marking his first full directorial debut. Filming began in the UAE and is set to continue in different regions of Syria. The series may extend over several seasons, with the first season titled “Underground: A Hot Season.”

These Lebanese dramas are set to offer a captivating mix of romance, crime, suspense, and intrigue during Ramadan 2025, making them a highly anticipated part of the upcoming season.
