Lebanon, supported by Whish Money, has kicked off its participation in the Special Olympics World Winter Games, hosted in Turin, Italy, until the 16th of this month. The event features eight Olympic-style winter sports.
Lebanon is competing in the Snowshoeing event.
The Lebanese delegation took part in the grand opening ceremony after departing from Beirut last Friday. The delegation is led by the founder of Special Olympics Lebanon, Mohammad Nasser, and includes coach Najat Saeed, team doctor Sally El-Sayed, and athletes Abbas Sallab (100m – 200m) and Tsoline Badr El-Din (100m – 200m).
