Michael J. Fox electrified the Glastonbury stage over the weekend, joining Coldplay on guitar for a heartfelt rendition of their hit song “Fix You” at the renowned UK music festival. The actor-turned-musician took to social media to express his gratitude and awe, sharing a carousel of photos capturing his memorable experience.

“Glastonbury, all the love and thanks to the @coldplay team who took such great care of us. And many thanks to Chris, Will, Johnny, Guy, and Phil,” Fox wrote in his post. “Oh yeah, in case you were wondering… it was absolutely mind-blowing. There’s a time for every band and a band for every time. This is @coldplay’s time.”

A video of their performance, circulated by the BBC, showcased Coldplay’s frontman Chris Martin directing the spotlight to Fox during their collaboration. Martin playfully sang, “Go Johnny, go, go, go,” a nod to Fox’s iconic performance of Chuck Berry’s “Johnny B. Goode” in the classic film “Back to the Future.”

Addressing the crowd, Martin credited Fox as a pivotal influence in Coldplay’s formation. “The main reason we’re in a band is because of watching ‘Back to the Future,’” he confessed. “Thank you to our hero forever and one of the most amazing people on Earth, Mr. Michael J. Fox. Thank you so much, Michael, our hero.”
This wasn’t Fox’s first time rocking out with Coldplay; he previously joined them onstage during a 2016 show in New Jersey, cementing a special bond between the actor and the band.
