Qatar Launches “Swords of the Arabs” as the First Dramatic Documentary Series for Ramadan 2025

On Wednesday, the “Qatar Media Corporation” announced the launch of the historical series “Swords of the Arabs,” a unique dramatic project that brings together over 80 actors from across the Arab world.

In a statement, the Qatar Media Corporation confirmed that the series combines cinematic drama with a documentary style, making it the first of its kind in the Arab drama industry. The series aims to provide an innovative perspective on the history of the Arab sword, highlighting its evolution over the centuries.

According to the statement, the project relies on advanced cinematic techniques and a sophisticated artistic vision to revive important historical details in a compelling and engaging way, suitable for modern audiences.

The statement further emphasized that this production is not just a traditional series, but a result of precise research and scientific effort. It combines artistic creativity with historical reviews to offer an exceptional viewing experience. The series seeks to embody the authentic Arab spirit by reflecting cultural and civilizational values.

The project is led by a distinguished team of drama creators, with the script written by a specialized team under the supervision of Dr. Mohammed Al-Batoush, directed by Samer Jabr, and produced by the artistic producer Hadi Qurnait. The series is produced by Qatar Television, known for offering content that reflects Arab and Islamic cultural identity.

The cast of “Swords of the Arabs” includes some of the most prominent stars of Arab drama, such as Jamal Suleiman, Saloum Haddad, Bassam Yakhour, Munther Rayhana, Akef Najm, Nidal Najm, Mohammed Al-Meftah, Nasser Abdul Rida, Ghazi Hussein, Mohammed Khoyyi, Azar Abdel Rida, Riham Al-Qassar, Mohammed Al-Ibrahimi, Khaled Najm, and Samira Makroun, along with other notable stars including Yassin Hajem, Hicham Behloul, Najla Ben Abdullah, Amin Najy, Leila Al-Fadhli, Rachida Menar, Yassine Ben Qamra, Mohammed Mourad, Faisal Rashid, Meshal Al-Dosari, and Reem Ben Massoud.

“Swords of the Arabs” represents a significant step forward in Arab drama production, blending tradition with innovation to create a work worthy of our history and civilization. The series is expected to gain widespread attention and resonate deeply within the cultural and artistic circles, both regionally and globally.
