High-achieving media personality and journalist Suzan, has been covering both interesting and thought-provoking topics over the last two decades. With over 20 years of creative work experience in radio, online and public performance, Suzan is to be considered one of the most respected and influential reporters and correspondents in the Lebanese community. She started off studying both music and theatre at a young age and has played main character roles in 3 films and 21 theatre plays. Currently hosting the morning show on Radio 2moro Sawtelghad (Mornings with Suzan) since 2004, Suzan has become a beloved figure in the industry through her commitment to bringing diverse perspectives to her audience. She is one of the first Lebanese journalists who have had the honour of interviewing high profile figures ranging from politics to pop culture namely Lebanese President Sheikh Amine Gemayel, Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison and Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea to entertainment legends such as Wadih el Safi, Sabah and Melhem Baraket. She has also acted as a MC for major events, including the Lebanon Carnival at Darling Harbour, Multicultural Events, Music concerts, book launches, political events and conferences.
Suzie’s efforts have also gone beyond the world of journalism where she has dedicated her time to assisting those in need through her role as Salvation Army Ambassador, a positive role model to the wider community. The theatre performances that took place at the Theatrette of the NSW Parliament House has also been a great accomplishment of hers. Here she was able to educate the youth on common problems including gambling and online social networking, as a way of giving back and raising awareness. Her efforts has been acknowledged for her work through numerous awards including a Community recognition notice from the NSW Government for outstanding service to the Lebanese-Australian Community as a radio host, the UALM Australia Day Award for Journalism and the AAAC International Women’s Day Award for dedicated service in Media.
