Tom Hanks’ $26 million home miraculously survived a massive wildfire that swept through the Los Angeles area, according to images from Pacific Palisades. The fire posed an imminent threat to the surrounding homes, but the home of the actor and his wife, Rita Wilson, which they purchased in 2010, narrowly escaped the flames.
The four-bedroom, five-bathroom home remained intact despite the raging fires in the area. In contrast, a massive mansion on a cliff directly above Hanks’ home was destroyed by the flames.
Tom Hanks’ son, Chet Hanks, expressed his distress on Instagram, saying, “The neighborhood I grew up in is burning to the ground now. Pray for Palisades.”
It’s worth noting that many celebrities lost their homes in the devastating wildfires that have ravaged Los Angeles since Tuesday, including Paris Hilton, Heidi Montag, Spencer Pratt, Leighton Meester, Adam Brody, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Milo Ventimiglia, Mel Gibson, and others.
