As the weather starts to get warmer and the air starts to get sweeter, we are inundated with a new season of beautiful fashions to choose from. From spring time picnics, weddings and more we have your wardrobe covered so you will look chic for every occasion this season.
Lace
Lace has been one of the key trends for this season. Instead of the little black dress, this season we have the little lace dress for an evening look, perfect as the weather starts to warm up. Teamed with the all-white trend this season, an all-white lace dress will definitely score you style points. Lace can also be incorporated into a more bohemian and relaxed look. Off the shoulder lace dresses with more relaxed silhouettes and rompers give and easy breezy feel for this spring.
Midi Length Skirt
Beginning with this season’s hemline, the midi length, which reaches below the knee to the mid-calf, is an elegant choice for this spring. This length has been present at various fashion shows and has been seen in the form of figure hugging pencil skirts, gorgeous full circle skirts and structured sheath dresses. This is a perfect length that can take you from the office to a smart casual dinner.
This season’s colour trends come in the form of delicious sorbet hues from soft pinks, sunny yellows and toned down mints, this season truly is a treat for the eyes. So instead of wearing the usual florals for spring you can opt for something with a solid yet softer tone of colour.
Stripes
In terms of prints, stripes have been coming thick and fast down the runway, as well as fun tropical prints. With palms and pineapples, you can’t go wrong, especially for a leisurely day out or for a picnic. Have fun mixing and matching prints and colours. You can incorporate them in the form of jumpsuits, sundresses, full skirt and crop top combinations or printed pants. If you prefer a more minimalist look, the all-white trend this season has been another key look, and compliments well with the sorbet colour palate. For a casual look team light denim jeans with a grey t-shirt and a white blazer for an effortless off duty look.
60’s and 70’s
One of the bolder trends this spring are the takes on 60’s and 70’s style fashions, with flares and floaty fabrics and minimalistic floral prints making a comeback. Jumpsuits, maxi dresses and off the shoulder blouses make for a fun and flirty look and stay true to the trend. Plunging necklines are a key look for the 70’s trend, while the more feminine gingham print conjures up a more romantic 60’s vibe.
This season has many great pieces on offer for everyone from feminine pieces, minimalistic all-white ensembles, tropical prints and vintage inspired looks. Don’t be afraid to experiment and expand your personal style and most importantly have fun and express yourself for a truly stylish spring.
