Lebanese comedian Adel Karam Is running for President!

Adel Karam was born on 20th of August 1972. He has two brothers Fares and Tarek.
Adel Karam was originally a school sports teacher, mainly in football. In the 90’s, he was casted for SLCHI on Murr Television – MTV Lebanon, along with Nathalie Naoum,Fadi Reaidi,Roula Chamieh and Naim Halawi. The satirical series became very popular despite the low budget, propelling all the actors into stardom in a very short time.
Adel Karam mostly plays comedy roles. He claims to be greatly influenced by the character of his late father who was a man full of wit, humor and sarcasm, qualities which Adel loved and grew up with. Adel’s characters appealed to young and old audiences alike, and was also noticed by directors such as Nadine Labaki (Caramel).
Adel Karam starred in Various hit shows over the years working with Lebanese directorNasser Fakih. Adel Shows included: Inta El Hakam, El Kossah woma Fiha, Sho baddo Yessir, Caracas , Ahla Aalam, La 3al Bal wala 3al Khater, and the famous series, La Youmal.
Adel Karam is today one of the most recognized stars on Lebanese and Pan Arab Television.
Recently, Adel Karam announced that he’s running for presidential elections in Lebanon. Is this another one of his jokes? Nope!
The comedian couldn’t be more serious, and is planning on officially launching his campaign on his talk show “Hayda Haki” (This Is Talk).

Adel said that he has every right to run for President since he’s one of “the people” and everyone should be granted the opportunity to do what he’s doing.
On another note about Adel’s family recent situation, we sadly read:

Has Lebanese actor Adel Karam abandoned his wife and newborn baby? Some say it’s true, others disagree. But what we know as true for sure is that the actor and his wife Rita Hanna cannot agree on anything in their relationship.
The couple got hitched in early 2013, but continuous fighting between the two has led to the decision of getting divorced.
As for their one-and-a-half old baby, it’s rumored that Adel has abandoned his son, who has apparently been in hospital since his birth.
Close friends to the couple have said that Adel has stopped visiting his baby and is not paying his hospital bills either. My, oh, my! The disturbed father is said to have also moved out of his marital home.
But Adel denied all the accusations thrown at him. The actor spoke out on the talk show “Bikhsoos Hal Shi” (In Regards to that Matter), where he told everyone of his great love to his son, assuring people that he is paying for his medical bills as well.
The statement made by Adel infuriated Rita, who vowed to break her silence by taking on to Twitter and tweeting: “If you don’t stop with all those lies, I will tell it all. I’m only still quiet for the sake of our son Sharbil.” Well, there you have it! Things are clearly out in the open now.
Sharbil has since his birth undergone two open heart surgeries at the American University Hospital in Beirut and is currently held in the Intensive Care Unit. His condition is very critical, but is said to be gradually improving.
