Colin Jost has confirmed that his wife, Scarlett Johansson, is expecting their first child — adding he can’t wait to become a dad.
While performing at a stand-up gig at the Ridgefield Playhouse in Connecticut over the weekend, Jost told the crowd, “We’re having a baby, it’s exciting,” according to a source in the audience, Page Six reports.
Reports surfaced in July that Johansson was pregnant and due soon.
Johansson, 36, already has a six-year-old daughter named Rose from her previous marriage to Frenchman Romain Dauriac.
She quietly wed Saturday Night Live funnyman Jost, 39, in October last year after three years of dating.
The Avengers star first sparked pregnancy rumors in June after skipping out on several Black Widow events.
“She hasn’t been doing many interviews or events to promote Black Widow, which is surprising since it is a huge Marvel/Disney release and she is both the star and an executive producer,” a source explained at the time.
Instead, the Oscar-nominated actress carried out promotional appearances via Zoom, appearing virtually on The Tonight Show to chat with Jimmy Fallon on June 21 — conspicuously only shot from the shoulders up, and later doing the same thing on Seth Meyers’ show.
